Four Simple Actions To Take To A Healthier, More Successful Life

A healthy life does not have to be complicated. If you take a few simple actions today you will be enjoying a healthier, more productive life soon.

A successful life begins with fitness and vitality. In order to achieve the abundant life you want in other areas, you must begin with a stronger you. It does not take a lot to have total wellness in your life. A few minutes of exercise and/or meditation each day along with a sensible, balanced diet and you are on your way to a new level of prosperity.

How are you doing now in this area of your life?

Not too good, huh?

Are you overweight? Stressed out? Feeling tired and run down? Feeling aches and pains like never before?
Are you sick and tired of being sick and tired?

I understand. I have been there at one time or another. Please do not worry about it. Most of us struggle at times. The most important thing right now is that you take action and make a commitment to make a change. Do not set crazy goals that will leave you frustrated. Set reasonable goals that wellness experts suggest and take it one day, one meal, one exercise at a time.

Here is a few simple steps you can take starting today:

1. Eat a balanced diet of non-fried meats and vegetables, throw in some fresh fruits and whole grain breads and cereals. Keep the portions small and eat slowly. Just remember to Savor the Flavor! That is a healthy, simple, yet balanced, diet that doesn't have you counting calories, points, carbs or anything else.

2. Now that you are eating a healthier diet, now it is time to get out of that chair and start moving. Go for a brisk walk. If you are feeling frisky and your doctor says it okay, you might want to start jogging and doing some light weight strength training. Get that body moving, break a little sweat! Don't over do it. Just try to do some form of exercise at least three days per week. As you get in better shape then you can add more workouts and intensity to your training. Like our friends at Nike say, Just Do It!

3. Drink lots of water every day. Most people do not even come close to drinking enough water to meet their body's requirement of eight glasses of water per day. That is 64 ounces of water per day. Start drinking in the morning and don't stop until you are ready for bed. Yes, you will be going to the bathroom more, but that is healthy for you. First, it means you are moving more, but it also means that you are cleansing your body of harmful toxins that can hurt or destroy cells in your body. Water is the fuel for our bodies. Remember, we can live without food for a longer period of time than we can without water.

4. Breathe more. I know what you are thinking. I have to breathe to live. What we are talking about is good strong cleansing breaths of fresh air several times a day. Do this several times a day: breathe in through your nose for five seconds, filling your lungs with a nice fresh supply of oxygen, then blow it out through your mouth for seven to ten seconds. Really push that air out, then repeat that process again at least ten times in a row. You can do this while you are at your desk, while you are driving in your car (as long as you are not prone to dizziness) or while you are watching the television. This healthy, fresh supply of oxygen will stimulate your metabolism and cleanse your cells of unwanted toxins.

Do these few things and you will begin to see and feel significant changes occurring in your body and mind. The results will amaze you. You will have new energy, look and feel so much better about yourself.

That is just the start!
