You Are Here: Home Page -> Personal-development -> Advice -> Information Products - Why They Are No Good!
To put this all in to perspective, lets look at some of the great information products that were launched in 2007. People flocked to the sales page on the day the product hit the market. A few dozen marketers made $100k launches in a matter of days while a few of the big gurus did a few 1 million dollar launches in their very first day. They literally made 1 million dollars within their first 24 hours of opening the door. Is this good or is this bad?
Well, neither! I depends how you look at it. About 90% of the people that rushed in to purchase the product, never followed any of the recommendations made within it. Perhaps there was a few brave souls who dared to apply a few of the principles mentioned within the e-product. Soon after however they dropped everything that was mentioned simply because it took too much work or it was not bringing in instant results.
If it does not deliver instant riches, people will not move their finger. In fact, they don't want to move a finger. They want success to just happen to them. And that is exactly why these people buy product after product, hoping to find a magic formula that will stuff their pocket overnight without them having to do the work.
Now, you are probably thinking that this has to stop. The gurus perhaps, should stop making these information products. I would disagree though.
You see, it has nothing to do with the product. It has everything to do with the person who purchases the product, yet refuses to follow the information contained within to the "T".
You see... the fact is: Most of these products are accurate and true, but unless you follow the exact footsteps of the author, it is bound to not work for you. You want to see extraordinary success, you better prepare to put in extraordinary effort.
Bryan Tracy once said this about success. "It is no secret. It is a formula. You do what successful people do and you will be successful. It is as simple as that."
